FAQ

Do I need a rental car?
Yes. Visitors should rent a car, both to get to Cinnamon Stones, and to strike out on adventure from there. Rental cars are available in several places in Cruz Bay, as well as St. Thomas (in which case you would need to come over to STJ via freight ferry). It is highly recommended to get a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Most of the rental fleet available to visitors will fit the bill, but ask to be sure.
How close is the villa to a beach?
Cinnamon Stones isn't close to one beach; it's close to many! It's a short drive to some of the best beaches on St. John. STJ is not a very big island, and the central location of Cinnamon Stones puts the whole island within easy driving distance.
Are beach towels provided?
Yes. The last thing you want to do is bog down your bags with extra towels. Visitors are provided with beach towels.
Can I hear the water from the villa?
Yes. You can hear the ocean day and night. The villa is perched six hundred feet above the broad and pristine Cinnamon Bay beach. You are so close that you can hear the waves from the villa around the clock.
Is there a washer and dryer available?
Yes. You can pack lighter knowing that laundry facilities are available. We also provide special detergent to protect the beautiful and fragile ecosystem of the island.
How close is the villa to shopping and dining?
Cinnamon Stones is a short drive into Cruz Bay, the central location for shopping and dining on St. John. Most of the shops and restaurants are in Cruz Bay. Other shops and restaurants on the island are close at hand, being convenient to Coral Bay, the secondary town on the island.
